Prices are the weather. Your habits are the climate.
The loud numbers change every second and make great headlines. The quiet ones decide where you end up. Planted North is about the quiet ones.
What the market is doing right now
Here for perspective. It rarely changes what you should do this week.
What actually decides your outcome
Four things you control. Each Sunday issue works on one of them.
Market data from CoinGecko and Yahoo Finance, delayed. Shown for perspective only. Not a recommendation to buy or sell any security or crypto asset.
Same four parts every week, so you always know where the useful bit is.
The Seed
One mindset idea from people who build lasting wealth. Patience, systems, enough.
The Move
One small Canadian step for this week: open, automate, check your room, cut a fee.
The Ring
One number worth knowing, explained in a sentence. Easy to forward to a friend.
Field Notes
What I'm doing, what's working and what isn't. Real life, not a highlight reel.
Read the first issue. No email needed.
Issue 1 is open for anyone to read. Issues 2 and 3 are previews of what lands next. No catching up, no jargon, no "you should have started in 2009".
The first ten years look like nothing. That's the part people quit.
Drag the sliders and watch where the growth actually shows up. This is why Planted North is about staying in the ground, not picking winners.
Compound growth calculator
Illustration only. Assumes a constant return compounded monthly; real markets never move in a straight line. Not a forecast.

Nobody handed me the manual. So I'm writing it.
I'm Lucas. Seven years ago I moved from Brazil to Vancouver, a city where it rains sideways and the rent is priced as if the mountain view were included. I worked part-time and counted every dollar. TFSA, FHSA, RRSP: to me it was alphabet soup.
So I learned it the slow way. A few dollars at a time, a lot of reading, and more mistakes than I'd like to admit.
Then one boring change did more than all of it. Three months of expenses set aside. A small deposit that invests itself every week. Today I barely notice it, and for the first time I have peace of mind about money.
Planted North is the email I wish someone had sent me the week I started investing. I write it for the people around me who are where I was, and because a promise to you every Sunday keeps me on my own plan.
I believe in Bitcoin, and I'll tell you why. I'll never tell you what to buy.
Before you plant.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Sunday email, the 64-page Field Guide and the one-page cheat sheet are free. If paid extras ever exist, the weekly email stays free.
Is this financial advice?
No. Planted North is general education about how Canadian accounts and long-term habits work, plus my own journey. It isn't tailored to you. For decisions about your situation, talk to a qualified, registered professional.
Will you tell me what to buy?
No stock tips, no crypto calls, no "don't miss this". The market numbers on this page are there for perspective. The email covers accounts, habits, fees and mindset: the things you control.
I'm behind. Is it too late?
Your TFSA room carries forward, so unused years are still waiting for you. The email starts from zero and assumes nothing.
How often will you email me?
Once a week, on Sunday. Occasionally a short update before a key date. One-click unsubscribe, any time.
Not in Canada?
You're welcome here. The accounts (TFSA, FHSA, RRSP) and rules are Canadian, but compounding, fees and habits work the same everywhere. Check your own country's rules before acting.
Do you earn money from links?
Sometimes. If a link pays me (a referral or sponsor), I say so right next to it, with exactly what I get. Sponsored content is always labelled.
The best time to start was 2009. The second best is this Sunday.
